Trump's Executive Order Clarified by The Department of Homeland Security
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued clarification regarding the Executive Order (EO) signed last week by President Trump. Green card holders from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen can breathe easier as DHS has held that it is in the national interests that nationals from these countries be allowed to travel to and enter the U.S. unless such national is considered to be serious threat to public safety and welfare. However visa issuance to nationals of these countries is still suspended until further notification. Litigation has been instituted in jurisdictions around the county in regard to the EO.
