DOS Practice Tip: H1B1 Singapore/Chile Issues with DS-160

The Visa Office has identified and is working to fix the issue with DS-160 wherein the Singaporean H-1B1 applicants are only given an option for the H-1B1 for Chilean nationals and vice versa. The Visa Office has advised the applicants that until the issue is resolved, Singaporean H-1B1 applicants should apply as Chilean H-1B1 applicants and Chilean H-1B1 applicants should apply as Singaporean H-1B1 applicants. A Singaporean H-1B1 applicant choosing a Chilean H-1B1 designation and vice-versa will not change the application. The applications would be considered as if both the H-1B1 applicants have chosen the correct classification
